This policy explains what information Atlas Digital Grid (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, atlasdigitalgrid.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain. The work we do collecting information in communities is covered by separate notices, described in the section “Community data” below.
What we collect
What you tell us. When you use our contact form, we collect the details you type in: your name, email address, organization, what type of organization you are, what you are interested in, the area you care about, and your message. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you write.
Technical information. Like almost every website, our hosting provider processes basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is kept in server logs for security and to keep the site running.
What we do not do. The site does not use advertising trackers or analytics tools, and it does not set cookies for tracking or advertising. If that changes, we will update this page before it does.
How we use it
- To reply to your message and to provide any service, sample or information you ask for.
- To keep ordinary business records of our conversations and agreements.
- To protect the site and our systems from abuse, and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and handle your message. They may process your information only to provide their service to us:
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Resend, which sends the notification email containing your message to our team.
- GreenGeeks, which hosts our email, where your message is stored in our team's mailboxes.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Where information is processed
We operate in the United States and Kenya, and our service providers are based in the United States. Your information may therefore be processed in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep messages for as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep ordinary business records. You can ask us to delete your message at any time (see “Your choices”).
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to our mailboxes is limited to our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as Kenya's Data Protection Act or US state privacy laws, and we will honor them. To make a request, email info@atlasdigitalgrid.com or use our contact form. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can also contact your local data protection authority.
Community data
Separate from this website, we collect information in communities in the United States and Kenya through our Community Data Grid. That work is different from a website visit, so it has its own rules and its own notices, which are read to every person and organization before anything is recorded:
- People are asked for their permission, and saying no never affects any service they receive.
- People are asked separately whether anonymous, grouped statistics from their answers may be licensed to organizations, governments and companies.
- We never license names, phone numbers, email or street addresses, or exact locations, and we hide any group too small to protect people's identity.
- Anyone can withdraw their permission later, and their information then leaves every licensed view.

Children
This website is intended for businesses, organizations and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will make that clear on this page.
